Brenda is a certified psychiatric mental health practitioner with 25 years of experience working in nursing. Her nursing philosophy centers on providing compassionate, comprehensive, patient-focus care using a holistic approach. She believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms of their mental illness.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and person‐centered care to individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. My training includes a general psychiatry residency in New Jersey and an advanced Addiction Psychiatry/NIDA‐T32 Research Fellowship at Columbia University in New York City, where I received specialized experience in the treatment of substance use disorders, comorbidity, and academic research.
My name is Henry Coffield and I believe in mental wellness. The beginning of any process has to involve belief. I have worked for over 20 years in this field. I bring an open minded , humorous perspective through the therapeutic process. I believe in medication management yet it has to include additional work such as mentorship, life coach, therapist, spiritual advisor.
I am a double board-certified psychiatrist in adult and child/adolescent psychiatry, providing expert care to patients ages 6 to 80 through secure virtual appointments. Licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware, I bring 25 years of clinical experience to psychiatric evaluations and medication management. My work experiences include private practice, academic medicine, community psychiatry, residential treatment facilities, intensive outpatients.
I earned an MD from Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany, and completed psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship training at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA.

I bring both professional expertise and genuine empathy to my work. Having navigated my own experiences with immigration, career changes and motherhood, I understand how destabilizing major life transitions can be. Those experiences shape how I show up for patients. I believe people do best when they feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My approach is integrative and individualized, grounded in evidence based care while also guided by curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story and capacity for growth.
My focus is on psychiatric medication management, including diagnosis, medication evaluation, and ongoing management for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and related concerns. I do not provide weekly or primary psychotherapy, and may not be the best fit if you are seeking therapy-only services. If you are looking for ongoing talk therapy, I encourage you to select a licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD) whose profile and approach best meet your needs.
Notice for New Jersey Clients: Due to current New Jersey law, controlled substances cannot be prescribed without an in-person assessment. Because my practice is exclusively online, I am unable to prescribe controlled substances. If your treatment may require these medications, you will need to see a provider in person.
I am, however, happy to help you explore non-controlled medication options and other supportive strategies.
Please note: I do not offer medical marijuana evaluations or cards.
