I have a particular passion for working with issues of grief and loss. I believe in a whole-person approach to therapy and life and strive to help my clients achieve balance and build resiliency in facing shame. I have been providing therapy since 2011, working with individuals, families, couples, and students in community mental health settings, education, and private practice environments.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I see every client as a human with dignity. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships issues, and religious harm.
I seek to help clients feel confident in their ability to make choices, learn healthy communication skills, and strengthen their relationships with others.
I have 30 years experience working with adults (ages 20-90+), adolescents, families, and couples. I have my master's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder and I obtained my license as a Professional Counselor in 1996.

1. I am a lover of many things, but there is nothing dearer and nearer to my heart than the clients I help. I have been a nurse for 18 years now. Almost 100% of those years, I have spent working in or around mental health. Not to mention, I grew up in a family where mental illness directly impacted my family members. This is how and why I am passionate and dedicated to giving the utmost respect and care to any and all clients who choose me as their mental health provider. I want my clients to think of me as their teammate when it comes to battling mental health.
I believe counseling is a collaborative process and starts in the first session as we work together to understand your concerns. My first intention for you is to feel empowered, nurtured, and strengthened by the work we do together. I will work with you to create a safe and trusting space in which you can explore challenges that have hindered your ability to take full advantage of your potential. Together we will work on resolving difficult issues to promote increased self-awareness, understanding, and connection.
