I believe everyone has a right to feel in control of their own life. With the right motivation, everyone has the strength to have that personal power- to find fulfillment in life and live with confidence. I have lived a life of service to the people I love and issues I care about, wanting to extend that effort to anyone who is willing to trust me with their thoughts and feelings, wanting to make the changes necessary to find happiness. Each person is different and each story is special.
I have over a decade of experience supporting individuals through therapeutic, holistic, and integrative practices. With a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University and a background in psychology from the University of British Columbia, my work is rooted in a deep understanding of both clinical approaches and human potential.
I am a trauma informed Licensed therapist. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force and have lived in South Korea, Japan, and Germany. Techniques utilized by me include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Trauma Dynamics (Somatic intervention of the Autonomic Nervous system), Sandtray for right brain processing, Narrative Therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
I have found my own personal healing to be intimately connected to nature, and it is here that I believe that we can all begin to rediscover our intrinsic humanity and let go of those things that distract us from our higher selves. In my spare time, I work as an outdoor educator and manage my own private practice and guide Outdoor Retreats
I believe it is helpful and important to translate what is discussed in session and in telehealth meetings into lived experience and real change.
