As a senior clinician, I have many years of training and experience in the provision of trauma informed care, serious mental illness and treatment for addictions, anxiety, and depression.
I’m Emily, a licensed psychotherapist and Clinical Social Worker with a specialization in healthcare from Aurora University. I have extensive experience across various levels of care—including inpatient psychiatric settings, residential treatment, PHP/IOP, and community mental health—I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals facing co-occurring disorders, addiction, eating disorders, and trauma.
Through my work with complex cases, I have observed that many challenges are deeply rooted in trauma and systemic issues.
I have worked with individuals who suffers with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and substance abuse disorders. The most profound thing that I've learned is that we can improve ourselves at any point in our lives. I earned my Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a LCSW, I have worked with diverse and vulnerable populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My goal is to assist individuals in reaching their highest potential.
Life can be difficult, but remember you have the power to change it. Your journey is not dictated by your circumstances but rather by how you interpret them and react to them. Over the years, I have helped may people change the direction of their lives. A little insight into your true feelings and emotions can help shift things for you in a major way.
