¡Hola científicos! ¡Bienvenidos! My name is Norma, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who loves science and specializes in helping children, teens, and families navigate challenges that come from living in the world today.
Hi, I’m Hannah Short, LCSW, founder of Rooted & Nourished Psychotherapy. I’m a licensed clinical social worker based in Texas, and my work is centered around helping women heal their relationship with food, their bodies, and themselves.
I specialize in eating disorder recovery, body image concerns, perinatal and postpartum support, and bariatric surgery mental health support. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) through my partnership with Journey Clinical.
My approach is deeply compassionate, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that you are not “broken”—you’re navigating patterns that once helped you survive. Together, we slow down, get curious, and build a kinder, more connected relationship with your body and your mind.
I draw from IFS (parts work), somatic approaches, CBT/DBT skills, and attachment-based therapy, weaving in your story, your strengths, and your real-life context.
Before private practice, I worked extensively with adults navigating trauma, chronic dieting, postpartum transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the emotional toll of navigating healthcare systems. My clinical training includes a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston, postgraduate work in trauma and eating disorders, and ongoing advanced training in perinatal mental health and ketamine-assisted therapy.
Whether you're stepping into therapy for the first time or returning after a long break, my goal is simple: to create a safe space where you feel seen, supported, and understood. You don’t have to walk through this alone—healing starts with one small step, and I’m here to help you take it.
If you’re looking for a counselor who combines clinical precision with genuine warmth, you’ve found her.

Hello! My name is Ashley and I I am a trauma-informed therapist and TBRI-trained practitioner with more than 15 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, adoption issues and career-related stress. Whether I’m helping professionals overcome life’s challenges or guiding parents through complex family dynamics, or helping people navigate their faith journey, I equip my clients with tools to build resilience and create meaningful change. My sessions are engaging and supportive, offering a safe space for self-discovery and growth. My mission is to help you break free from what’s holding you back and step into a healthier, more fulfilled version of yourself.
I am grateful to have the privilege of being a therapist and bearing witness to the pain and healing of the clients with whom I work. There is much that is difficult and scary in the world and we all are navigating dynamics that cause us pain. I work to offer clients a space to process the injuries they carry from the broader world and also from the intimate world of family, friends, and other relationships. I invite clients to bring the complete selves, even the parts that are hard to be with.
