Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm grateful for your courage to take this step. Since 2012, I've been helping adults, youth, and families overcome many different challenges, including PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and divorce.
You’re a sensitive, empathic, and motivated woman. Lately, you feel lost and numb, and wonder if you will ever feel better. You thought you were ok, but past experiences have reappeared. Anxiety and sadness have crept in. No one can tell because you hold it all together. Faking a smile, scrolling, avoiding, or withdrawing isn’t helping anymore. You’re exhausted, and you’ve shut down. You want to feel confident, less shame and self-doubt, and no longer feel the past is in control.
Clients should know that I believe everyone has strengths and the ability to create positive change. My approach is supportive, respectful, and focused on what’s working rather than what’s wrong. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we set clear goals, highlight your progress, and build practical solutions that fit your life. You can expect a safe, nonjudgmental space where your voice matters and where we work together to move toward hope, healing, and growth.
I am a Christian therapist, I graduated with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and am currently working towards a Masters in Human Services.
I work with men and women in exploring what life looks like at the many different stages we go through and how to be better spouses, partners, friends, etc.
I offer one on one counseling because my heart is placed with the individual in helping them navigate their world and their environment.
I am a bilingual therapist who has worked in the public education system for more than 15 years. I have experience working in several settings such as public schools, non-profits and corporations. I have earned a Master’s degree in Divinity, a Master’s degree in School Counseling, and a Master’s degree in Public School Administration. I have more than 15 years of experience working with children and adolescents to overcome school struggles. I have more than 10 years of experience working with women of all ages. In 2018, I was honored to receive a Congressional Award for my Inclusion work. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance.
I am trained in EMDR therapy and I am available for virtual sessions most afternoons and weekends.
Non judgmental, open minded, engaging and solution focused.
