My name is Emily Garza. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2020. As a first-generation Latina whose parents immigrated from Mexico, I
understand the societal and familial pressures and stressors that Latinx individuals face.
In my work, I utilize a liberatory consciousness lens to support my clients in their journey towards overcoming oppression and building resilience.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a high school teacher and a college and career advisor which helped me become the therapist I am today, aware that everyone has a starting point and everyone's story and trauma are different.
Taking the first step toward change isn’t easy—but you’ve already done it by starting your search for a therapist.
Now, I invite you to take the next step and schedule your first appointment. Whether that’s with me or another provider, what matters most is that you commit to investing in yourself.
You deserve support, healing, and a space where you can grow. If you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you. My focus is on helping individuals clarify their vision for the future while building on their existing strengths to foster growth, resilience, and lasting change. I take a motivational and strengths-based approach to counseling, offering encouragement and support as you navigate your path through life’s challenges.
I'm Kristen and I've been a therapist for 12 years. I'm a Christian and work from a biblical point of view when I work with my clients. You'll feel invited, accepted, and listened to when you work with me.
I'm a trained therapist to help women dealing with post partum and life changes that comes with having a new baby.
If you're a working gal AND a new mom, and feeling tense about all the things you have to juggle in life, you'll love working with me because I'm a working mom too!
Let's connect!
I began this journey with one clear mission: to change the way we view mental health. I’m passionate about breaking the stigma around seeking help and fostering a society where taking care of your mental health is seen as a brave and empowering step toward personal growth and well-being. As a reliable ally for anyone navigating their mental health journey, I bring years of experience working with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, from stress, anxiety, and anger management to building self-confidence, tackling depression, improving social skills, managing ADHD, and supporting defiant teens. I also specialize in emotional struggles, conflict resolution, and educational challenges, including special education, always tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each person.
