My Philosophy
I see counseling not as fixing people, but as helping people rediscover the strength, resilience, and clarity they already possess. Whether you’re facing trauma, navigating identity, or simply trying to make sense of life’s changes, I aim to meet you where you are and walk alongside you toward hope and wholeness.
Outside the Office
When I’m not in session, I enjoy hiking, biking, working out, painting, and spending time outdoors. I’m passionate about Texas culture and the stories that shape who we are — both individually and collectively.
I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I saw several movies with therapist as the main character.
I believe change happens when we all work together to help each other.
Clients who get the most out of therapy with me are clients with variety of different issues and concerns.
Three words that describe my style are cultural competency, empathy and effective listening skills.
Something about me that is unique is I have ran several 10K and 5K races and running is a hobby and passion of mine.
I am currently trained and feel confident in the following Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Anger Resolution, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I have worked with kids, teens, and adults to address, behaviors, anxiety, depression, social anxiety, and grief.
I believe in balance between mind and body and that one affects the other. My goal is to help my client reach their individual equilibrium.
I am a counselor who strives to create a safe environment for all of my clients. My aim to not only challenge my clients, but also walk along the journey of healing with every client.
I am a veteran, a father, husband, and a man of faith. I have experienced great loss and survived it. I would like the opportunity to work with you.
