If you are feeling disconnected, unheard, or stuck in a cycle of pain, please know you don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m Dr. Alexa Cook, and I believe therapy should be a sanctuary—a place where you feel truly seen, heard, and safe. Whether you’re struggling with the weight of anxiety, the ache of loneliness, or the echoes of past trauma, my goal is to help you feel validated and supported. Together, we will explore your experiences with curiosity & compassion, shifting from a state of survival to a path of genuine freedom and healing.
I completed my Masters degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Art Therapy in 2015. Since then I have become passionate about using Internal Family Systems therapy both personally and professionally. I completed Level 1 in 2024 and I love combining IFS, art therapy and mindfulness in a compassionate approach to manage mental health and deepen self awareness and self expression.

Hi! I'm Aliyah Simcoff, LCSW! I received my MSSW from UT Austin in May 2020, and have since worked primarily in community mental and behavioral health with stints working in the carceral system.
If you’re here, you may be carrying a lot—burnout, compassion fatigue, or the weight of always being the strong one. I work with people who give a lot to others, including military members, veterans, first responders, hospital staff, and helpers who have seen too much. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what you’ve been through, and focus on practical steps that help you feel steadier, safer, more grounded, & more like yourself again over time. This is a space to breathe, regroup, and build skills that support healing, balance, and sustainable change
My journey into mental health began as a path to healing for myself. Experiencing significant family mental health and addiction challenges, I saw how a broken system could worsen treatable issues. Personally navigating trauma, ADHD, and neurodivergent symptoms, I found deep healing through a blend of Western psychology and Eastern spirituality practices. I offer a deeply personalized approach and connect authentically with the people I serve.
