I’m Amanda, and I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a place where they can show up exactly as they are. I bring warmth, authenticity, and even a bit of humor into the room when it feels right. I want you to feel genuinely seen—not judged—and supported in whatever you’re working through.
I’ve been in the counseling field for over 15 years and hold a PhD in Counselor Education from the University of Tennessee. My experience ranges from private practice and telehealth to correctional mental health, hospitals, and leadership roles in community programs. A. Simms Resume copy
I work with adults experiencing mood challenges, anxiety, identity concerns, life transitions, and LGBTQIA+ experiences, as well as individuals who are justice-involved or adjusting to major life changes. My approach integrates CBT, ACT, and Reality Therapy, giving us room to explore both deeper patterns and practical skills.
Clients describe me as encouraging, steady, and real—someone who helps them feel grounded and capable while taking meaningful steps toward a more balanced and authentic life.
I work with people managing a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as relational challenges. My goal is to create a safe space for everyone to explore themselves and how they relate to the world. I believe that every person can use the assistance of psychotherapy, whether it's a person dealing with a recent crisis, more long-standing issues, or generally seeking to deepen their understanding of self.
As your therapist I will work alongside you to help you learn to identify your emotions, learn healthy ways to express yourself, and healthy and effective ways of communicating with others. Together we will also identify your strengths as well as possible unhealthy thinking or behavioral patterns and how they relate to your everyday experiences and emotions.
I have worked in community mental health since 2014. My educational background focused on addictions and marriage and family counseling. I have training in motivational interviewing and solution focused approaches to building change.
Hi there! My name is Amanda and I'm grateful for your courage to take this step. Since 2012, I've been helping adults, youth, and families overcome many different challenges, including PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and divorce.
Things can get better. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help but it is the first step in putting yourself and your needs first so thank you for being here! I got into this field as I am drawn to helping others and believe that we as humans are resilient and we can overcome any obstacles with the right support and tools.
Hi! I'm Tori and I'm a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in collaborating with women (trans and non-binary inclusive) in their 20s and 30s to help them gain freedom from overwhelming anxiety, improve boundaries and grow in self-compassion. I enjoy working with college and grad students as well as young professionals, and have a lot of experience helping queer, gay and questioning folks, especially in terms of identity exploration.
I’m a licensed therapist who believes therapy should feel supportive, collaborative, and real. I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem issues, with a focus on helping you feel more grounded and confident in your day-to-day life. My approach is practical and compassionate—I help you understand patterns, build coping skills, and make changes that fit your life. Most importantly, I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and never judged.
