Therapy can be defined as anything that is done that moves a client toward health and wholeness. Healing requires movement. So, first, we’ll collaborate and determine how you’re stuck in your life. As human beings, we reach out to others for assistance when we’re frustrated and can’t see any options for ourselves in a particular situation. At that point, we’re feeling stuck...with obsessive thoughts or compulsive behaviors, with feelings that we don’t know how to process, or with a partner or job that’s unfulfilling.
Being or feeling stuck is the last place you want to be. Life is about movement...whether it’s backwards, forwards, up or down. Any kind of movement gets you unstuck and involved in the healing process.
Therapy helps you get unstuck and helps you discern and make conscious choices regarding a course of action.
I use a variety of treatment modalities to help you reach your goals depending on your openness and preferences. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, insight oriented therapy, hypnotherapy and past life regression. Together we decide which treatment option is best suited to meet your needs. Sometimes it's one of these options exclusively, other times, it's a combination of modalities.
My style is warm and collaborative. I'm active in sessions and give clients feedback. One of my goals is to give you something to think about in between sessions.
My post graduate degree from Seton Hall is an Ed.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I also have a Th.M. in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Princeton Seminary and a M.Div. from the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia.
If you have unproductive behaviors, fears, stress or relationship problems, therapy helps. The first move is to reach out for assistance.
Dating, maintaining healthy relationships, and keeping it spicy in the bedroom can be challenging and feel overwhelming. Whether you are single or in a relationship, couple’s therapy can help.
My work with Couples focuses on issues of communication, intimacy, infidelity, trust and sexual difficulties. If you are single, and are looking to work through past or prospective relationships, we can work on helping identify the factors getting in the way of finding, or maintaining healthy relationships.
Experiencing a lack of sexual fulfillment during any stage your life can feel isolating, challenging and overwhelming. Whether you are single, dating, in an open relationship, or in a committed relationship. When “sex isn’t working”, it feels uncomfortable and frustrating, and can make you feel like there is something wrong with you.
We can work together in Sex Therapy, as an Individual or as a Couple to help you achieve the positive sex goals you want and deserve. I'm an English/Spanish speaking Psychotherapist. I specialize in Individuals, Couples and Sex Therapy. I would like to help you feel better and have success in all areas of your life. Give me a call for a free consultation.
Your Well-Being Is My Priority. My passion is helping you achieve wellness, leading to a happier and more fulfilling life. As a board-certified and licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in New York and New Jersey, I provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including medication management and psychotherapy. With over 18 years of experience in psychiatry, I have worked in both acute care hospitals and outpatient clinics across NY and NJ. I treat individuals of all ages, from children, teenagers, young adults to seniors over 80s, offering compassionate and evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs.
As a licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey, I offer remote individual psychotherapy to adults. My approach is collaborative, and you are an active partner in designing your personal goals. I individualize treatment based on your presenting concerns/needs as well as your unique background and history. Based on my training and experience in a variety of treatment modalities, including CBT, DBT, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, I use an integrative approach to help you reach your personal goals, which may involve learning skills to manage life’s difficulties and developing greater understanding of yourself.
I have more than 15 years of experience working in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals and schools. As a trained pianist and a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, I also incorporate creative expression in my practice, and my speciality includes issues related to cultural diversity (e.g., LGBTQIA+, Asian American mental health, immigration). As a native of Japan, I am bilingual in Japanese and English, and offer services in both languages.
Many of the adults I work with grew up feeling unseen—whether because of childhood trauma, emotionally unavailable parents, or painful relationship patterns. Those early experiences can stay with us, shaping the way we see ourselves and connect with others. Over time, it can feel like you’re stuck in the same cycles, questioning your worth, or struggling to build the relationships you want.
Becoming a therapist felt like a natural calling: a way to combine compassion with practical tools to help people heal, grow, and find balance. Over the years, I’ve seen how therapy can transform lives—restoring hope, strengthening relationships, and helping clients rewrite the stories they tell themselves. That transformation is what inspires me every day to do this work with warmth, empathy, and genuine care. I absolutely love what I do and I feel very blessed to do this work everyday.

I have a strong personal connection to nature, which I believe can be a powerful tool for healing. I enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, surfing, and even farming—which allows me to maintain a sense of balance and peace.
I have been in the field about 20 years, starting out as a musician providing music therapy, I went on to become licensed as a professional counselor. I have worked in mental health and addictions treatment outpatient counseling, providing care to individuals, couples, and families in-office and over telehealth, with college students as a campus counselor, created parenting classes and workshops to support and empower individuals to practice self-care and create healthier home and work places.
