I want you to know that when you come into therapy with me, you don’t have to pretend, minimize, or hold everything together. You get to show up exactly as you are — overwhelmed, hopeful, exhausted, confused, motivated, or anything in between. We take it from there together.
My favorite part of this work has always been sitting with people one‐on‐one. That’s where real connection and real healing happen. I genuinely enjoy getting to know who you are, what you’ve been carrying, and what you’re hoping might feel different.
My style is warm, steady, and honest. I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you understand the experiences and patterns that are shaping your life. I’m also practical — I like to offer tools and strategies you can actually use in your day‐to‐day life, not just in the therapy room.
I work with people dealing with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, major transitions, and substance use concerns. But most importantly, I work with people who feel stuck or weighed down and aren’t sure how to move forward. Everyone deserves a space where they can breathe and be supported.
Something I tell clients often is this: I don’t want you to just feel better — I want you to be well. Feeling better can be temporary. Being well means building insight, healing, and lasting change.
My goal is simple: to help you feel safe, understood, and supported as you find your footing and move toward what’s healthier and more meaningful for you.
I am a LCSW with 11 years of experience working with adults, children and families. I completed my graduate coursework at Rutgers University. I currently live in NYC with my family and therapy dog Thor :)
I’m Martine, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I bring deep compassion to every session — not just for mental health, but for the human experience behind it. My care is culturally competent, trauma-informed, and rooted in the belief that healing begins when people feel truly seen. I meet each person in their own shoes, without judgment, and with a commitment to understanding their story in full. This is a space where your complexity is welcomed, your voice is honored, and your care is crafted with purpose.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over four years of clinical experience. I completed my graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I specialize in women's issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, relationship/communication issues, and trauma.
I believe our past can shape us, but it doesn’t have to define who we become. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and New York with over 12 years of experience, I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex family dynamics. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I also believe therapy should be tailored to each individual—there’s no one-size-fits-all path to growth. Together, we’ll explore the patterns, thoughts, and experiences that may be holding you back and develop practical tools to help you move forward. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported as you build the life you want.
My name is Melva. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, wife, mother, and an emotional support pet owner. It is my goal to work with each and every client on their own personal journey of self discovery. To make therapy less anxiety provoking and more enjoyable, my counseling style is naturally laid back yet professional. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, while having good insight and a pretty good sense of humor.
