Hi there, my name is Lindsey! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) here at Evoke Mind and Body. As an LCSW, I offer individual counseling services to adults (18+) who are facing or have faced obstacles such as sexual assault, trauma, mood disruptions, and/or interpersonal difficulties.
The decision to start therapy is a courageous one. I create an open and safe environment for you to embark on your therapeutic journey. In my practice I take a strength-based approach to help you learn and grow. I am interested in exploring who you are as an individual and helping you get where you want to be. Together I hope to build a respectful and collaborative therapeutic alliance.
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to help people. I began pursuing this passion early by attending an Early College program, which allowed me to earn college credits and build a foundation for my career in social work. I went on to attend North Carolina Central University (NCCU), where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work, graduating with my MSW in 2020.
Since then, I’ve taken on a variety of roles to discover my strengths and specialties within the field. My experience includes working as an Intensive In-Home therapist, serving as a therapist in an adult psychiatric hospital supporting individuals with severe mental health and addiction needs, and providing care within an IOP/PHP setting for those managing significant mental illness. I’ve also worked as a Coordinator for the Mental Health Court Program in Durham County. Ultimately, I found my home in outpatient therapy, where I’m able to work more directly and collaboratively with clients on their healing journeys.
My name is Courtney Kadish-Smith and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked in both mental health and addiction throughout my career. I have a passion for therapy and at the end of the day I am aware this is not an easy thing to commit too. Exploring into ourselves and working to get better is something that takes courage. I applaud you for reaching out in the first place and now we can take the step together towards making your life better.
I love to facilitate change and to help the individual move forward in the direction which they feel best suits them. I allow my clients to make up their own mind. I ask questions to lead them to their own answers.
I believe everyone should be the best they can be. No judgment for religion, race, geography, or gender, we are all just people trying to survive in this very complex world. I may ask challenging questions, but it is for you to do self-reflection and discovery.
Hello, my name is Nia Grant, and I provide counseling services to individuals and couples dealing with mental health concerns and common life stressors. I have been independently licensed for 16 years, and I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings with various populations. I have always been empathetic and able to see things from the perspective of others. I also have the ability to meet people where they are. So, I obtained a BA degree in Psychology in 2003 and a MA in Professional Counseling in 2005. I became independently licensed in 2009 and in practice ever since.
I’m Remington Vandergriff, LCSW, BCD, CCTP, a medically retired U.S. Army Major, owner of Bonafide Therapeutic Alliance, a virtual-only practice serving clients across TN. With 12+ years of experience, I specialize in men’s mental health, Veteran issues, & LCSW supervision.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based practices. I do not provide couples or family therapy.
That said, I believe that true healing comes from a strong therapeutic alliance, not just the treatment model or credentials. My clients often describe feeling at ease, heard, and genuinely understood, which forms the foundation for meaningful change.
Life can feel overwhelming at times and even taking that first step of calling a therapist can seem insurmountable. The stigma of seeking care can be difficult to ignore. Feel free to send a text or email if a call isn't in the cards right now. I've been in that dark cave, and I know the way out, I hope you'll reach out so I can be of aid.
