Hi. First, let me thank you for taking a moment to read my profile. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I am a family and marriage counselor licensed in Texas with over five years of experience working with individuals, couples and families helping them improve their lives and relationships. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems as well as life and career challenges. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I am a 30 year Army veteran and have been successful helping service members adjust to civilian life and reducing the impact of deployments to various war zones on their lives and relationships.
I try to make my counseling style warm and interactive; more like a conversation than a interrogation. I believe in treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution focused and narrative counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
Hi, my name is Karen. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in the field for over 20 years now. I love to work with individuals and couples.
Hi! I'm so glad you found your way here. Therapy is often the first step to becoming the best version of ourselves! Depending on where you are my approach is to help you define the life you want, set goals and support your efforts through talk therapy. Sometimes that means unpacking past trauma, other times it means focusing on the here and now! Together we will decide what's best based on where you are currently and where you'd like to see yourself in 30, 60, 90 days and beyond!
I appreciate you being here and getting to know a bit about me and my counseling background. It means that you are contemplating the beginning of your therapeutic journey. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas, I draw from extensive experience in the health professional field working in hospitals, private clinics, and residential facilities with various populations.

Hi there—I'm Dr. Stacee Reicherzer (she/her), a transgender therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, OCD, and identity development for LGBTQ+ adults and the people who love us.
Many of my clients are navigating painful histories that show up as intrusive thoughts, panic, compulsive behaviors, or emotional numbness. Some are struggling with obsessive fears and mental rituals that make daily life feel exhausting. Whether you're dealing with trauma-based anxiety, obsessive-compulsive cycles, or a mix of both, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate this alone.
My approach is warm, affirming, and trauma-informed. I integrate EMDR with ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) and other evidence-based strategies to support clients dealing with OCD, complex PTSD, and chronic shame. Sessions are collaborative and attuned—you’ll never feel rushed or reduced to a diagnosis.
I specialize in working with queer and trans adults, survivors of complex trauma (including medical trauma), and individuals navigating anxiety tied to identity, safety, and belonging. My work with OCD includes contamination fears, intrusive harm or sexual thoughts, religious scrupulosity, and perfectionism—often themes deeply rooted in early experiences of fear or control.
I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, am EMDR-Certified, and have served the LGBTQ+ community for over two decades. I'm licensed in both Texas and Illinois and offer virtual sessions to clients across both states. If you're ready for real healing—not just coping—I’d be honored to support your journey.
I place equal importance on evidence-based practices and having an excellent therapeutic relationship with my clients. My genuine, caring approach aids in the efficacy of the science-backed treatments used in trauma, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorder. I also treat male and female victims of sexual assault.
After listening to you and hearing your story, we design a treatment plan together. I have various approaches and will share with you which treatments will best help you meet your treatment goals, and we’ll determine a direction together. For some clients, an approach with homework keeps them engaged. Others prefer eye movement therapy because trauma is processed quickly, and you don't have to find the right words. Still, others want an inviting and comfortable place to process their feelings in a nonjudgmental environment.
I believe that my clients have wisdom within themselves. Effective therapy avoids advice-giving; it walks beside the client on their journey, allowing them to come to their truth and not the therapist’s truth.
